Happy Halloween!

Daddy and Auntie Tammy took Connor to Target the weekend before Halloween and had fun dressing him up in random costumes...

Connor was a Super Hero and he was really excited to go trick-or-treating for the first time ever.  He spent time the night before practicing:

Welcome Camille Kay!!

Camille Kay Flynn was born on October 25th, 2012 at 8:11 am. 
She was 7 lbs, 11 oz and 20" long.

It's GO TIME!

Wow, the past 39 weeks have gone by so fast!  I have been so busy that I haven't even come to terms with the fact that tomorrow we will welcome our new baby girl into the family.  It's bittersweet knowing that tonight will be our last night as a family of 3.  I think the hardest thing for me to wrap my head around is that I will not be able to pick-up Connor for around 3-4 weeks.  That is my only real concern right now.  Connor knows what is happening tomorrow...we're going to the hospital and the doctor is going to take his baby sister out of my tummy.  He knows that I will have a hurt tummy and won't be able to do all the things that I have been doing with him until it gets better.  He acts like he completely understands it all and repeats it back to me, but I'm certain his idea of what is happening may be a bit different than reality (I neglected to mention to him that another baby means I will have to split my attention between the 2 of them). 

So, here it is...my 23 lbs of belly gained this time around...

here's hoping that I lose it just as fast as I did with Connor!

Carving Pumpkins

This was Connor's first year carving a pumpkin.  Daddy did all the dirty work and Mommy carved it (well, I cheated by using a pattern).  Connor did occupy himself for a long time by thinking he was scraping it out and pretending to carve it...

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and had a great time!  Connor surprised us by wanting to go on rides...by himself!  Chad and I stood to the side and had a bittersweet moment of realizing how much he has grown.
Never did we think he would go on a ride that moves this fast, but he loved it and went on it 2 more times.

 

 

 

 

 

Big Boy Car

Auntie Tammie and Auntie Susie gave this 4 wheeler to Connor for Christmas (10 months ago).  He has been scared of it and has cried anytime we merely point at it.  On Friday, he decided that he will ride it and now he loves it.  The max speed of 1 mph is perfect for me and this belly to keep up with!

Connor has really impressed us lately with his ability to use proper tenses in his sentences, his amazing memory for anything and everything that we may have mentioned in previous days, and with his ability to negotiate.  He makes us laugh so much!
